Siomara Wedderburn, LSW, is a youth advocate, change agent, speaker, counselor and the founder of Be Inc. Collective. For over two decades, Siomara has worked in public, private and non-profit sectors advocating for children and families. Be Inc. focuses on supporting the mental health and well-being of Black and Brown communities through community events and support geared at helping families thrive, rather than simply survive.

Siomara specializes in working with organizations to cultivate healing centered approaches to their work with families. She utilizes her expertise in child welfare, mental health, adolescent development, and trauma-informed care to offer a unique perspective on issues plaguing our communities. As a lived survivor of trauma, she leads with compassion, empathy, and a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

A Culture of Health Leader with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Siomara continues to advocate for health equity by promoting community driven solutions like the Family Café Initiative she spearheads in the city of Camden, NJ. Through the development of a Youth Wellness Team, Siomara continues to support access and opportunities for future clinicians in the fields of social work, mental health and wellness.

Siomara obtained a dual B.A. in Psychology & Spanish, as well as a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. She firmly believes in the power of community, championing the message that we are more than our ACE scores; when we heal, we impact those connected to us-our children, families and communities. In her spare time, Sio enjoys traveling and spending time with her four children, Jaden, Sianna, Mya and Ella.
