Geneva Brown-McDowell is a self-taught creative, artist, and advocate who is passionate about cultivating transformative spaces where people can truly be themselves. She finds joy in the creative process and its capacity for self-expression and healing through therapeutic art, and mentoring youth and young adults.

With over 22 years of experience working with children and families, Geneva has worked extensively with individuals facing mental illness, survivors of domestic violence, and as a preschool teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Holistic Nutrition, along with certification as a Birth and Death Doula.

Currently, she empowers adolescents by facilitating groups focused on identity, authenticity, spiritual development, and mental health in urban settings. Her commitment to service and creativity shine through in every endeavor she undertakes. As the Program Manager for Be Inc, Geneva oversees the Youth Wellness Team and Teen programming. Geneva is the devoted mother of three—Elise, Emyrh, and Jerel (12)—and proud grandmother of Leilani.
